our current waiting time on "the vaquero" is 6 to 8 months (we may have something in stock, so call).
On custom saddles a minimum of one year. we do not guarantee completion lead- times.
​a 500.00 non-refundable deposit will get you a place in line.

price is not always an indicator of high quality or good value. rather value is determined by the workmanship and the finished product.

• we offer a (stock) saddle for $2,800.00, WE CALL IT "THE VAQUERO".

so, what about value?
​the base saddle is made with the same workmanship and domestic leather as all the other higher prices saddles. every saddle is individually made the same way by me.
​

• higher priced, custom-made saddles:

​every custom saddle starts at the base price ($3,500.00) and goes up from there, depending on the changes and add-ons. some things that increase the price are custom trees, custom hardware. stitching and lining, stirrups that are leather covered and tooled to match the saddle, or brass or monel bound, perhaps extra wide bell bottoms, silver work and extensive tooling.
​any number of such changes can affect the finished price by several hundreds of dollars. these saddles will take a minimum of one year.

​please, get to know your saddle maker! call jeff and get your questions answered, educate yourself about the saddle you want as best as you can. any trustworthy saddle maker will be happy to take the time to visit with you, so don't be shy and give us a call.
